Pommery is a big framed stallion who is clearly stamped by his sire, not only in the conformation but also in his movements. He shows constant willingness to perform. He won the dressage phase of the 1994 Stallion Performance Test with excellent rideability and wonderful, cadenced movements. He had a very good evaluation in his rideability score following the independent rider test. Pommery produces extravagant, beautiful dressage progeny. A very elegant sire with a noble black coat and a lot of expression. He is big-framed with good riding horse points, a lot of substance and correct conformation. With a high rideability, quality basic gaits and a very good attitude he fulfills all expectations laid on him. Besides his extraordinary dressage score he also had a good jumping result which led to being placed first overall in his Performance Test. He has a character and temperament score of 9, conformation 8, jumping ability 8 and rideability scores of 9 and 10. He has an outstanding walk score of 8 (average was 6.3), trot score of 8.33 (average was 6.38) and a canter score of 9. This stallion is a big-framed, expressive sire with effective, well-shaped shoulders, back and croup. Frenchman had the highest evaluations for all three basic gaits as well as for excellent rideability. He had above-average scores as far as the show jumping criteria was concerned and he thus achieved the fourth place among all participants of his age group. Because of his marvelous dressage gaits, he achieved second best score of 136,5 points. Anamour was selected for Australasia because of his superior movement and outstanding temperament. He is a multi-talented horse that in dressage scored 5th out of 40 stallions at the 100 day Performance Test. His progeny are certainly true to type and are stamped with his outstanding movement. Herr Manfred Lopp (Head Saddlemaster) has the following to say at a Hanoverian Classification, “A typical Anamour is dark in colour and good in type. All Anamour’s have a good trot, they are elegant with good necks and correct bone on the legs. Their movement shows good freedom out of the shoulder and good action of the legs.
