Grandsire of El Bundy is Espri, who is well known for passing on jumping ability to his offspring. Even with mares that carry hardly any jumping capacity in their genes, he is able to produce showjumpers of superb quality, including his son ET ridden by Hugo Simon. Sire Escudo I, was 1994 stallion performance test champion. His breeding value for showjumping is a very impressive 153. El Bundy was the convincing winner of the stallion performance test in 2001. He is a multitalented stallion, with a very high dressage score and jumping score. He also has three excellent gaits.
